New York City-based members gathered at the Local 600 New York office on Friday, September 6, for an Inter-Local Pre-Parade Prep Party. Members were able to create parade posters, tag their clothing with union and 600 inspired stencils, sign up to contribute to the IATSE PAC, and grab a slice of pizza. New York AFL-CIO Chief of Staff Brendan Griffith, ReelWorks Career Development Program Manager Cameron Amstater, and Local 600 National Executive Director Alex Tonisson were in attendance for the festivities. The next day, Local 600 members, family, and friends marched in the annual New York City Labor Day Parade. Thank you to all who came out to march (in the rain) and demonstrate your union pride. See you next year!
