Local 600 + ARRI Rental hosted a Film Training in Long Island City, Queens, NY, on Saturday, February 25. Designed for working Local 600 Loaders and AC’s with limited analog experience, this practical workshop covered basic operation and prep procedures for the complete line of modern ARRI film cameras (416, 235, 435, ARRICAM ST, ARRICAM LT) with the aim of equipping Local 600 members with the knowledge needed to successfully crew those cameras in a production environment. Particular emphasis was given to the ways in which analog cameras operationally differ from digital cameras, with an eye toward troubleshooting routine faults and avoiding common pitfalls. The Local thanks the trainers and trainees for attending and sharing their wisdom.
