Local 600 hosted a booth and panel at Cine Gear New York on Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16 in Industry City, Brooklyn, NY.

On Saturday, March 16, the union hosted “The Art of Camera Motion,” a panel with some of the Local’s leading Directors of Photography and Camera Operators where there was discussion about how they work with directors to develop camera moves that define emotion, add impact, and shape audience involvement. Panelists were Directors of Photography Terrence Burke, Frank DeMarco, ASC and Fred Elmes, ASC along with Camera Operators Todd Armitage, Joe Blodgett, Alan Mehlbrech, SOC, and Matthew Pebler, SOC.

Later on Saturday, the ASC will hosted their panel, “Cinematographers Creative Process – Deconstructing Scenes,” moderated by Dejan Georgevich, ASC. Local 600 Directors of Photography on the panel were Fred Murphy, ASC, Declan Quinn, ASC, Fred Elmes, ASC, and John Inwood, ASC.
